Made from natural cork, it’s 100% biodegradable and suitable only for earth internment.
…Cork is composed of suberin, a hydrophobic substance and because of its impermeable, buoyant, elastic, and fire retardant properties it is only biodegradable in dirt.
You might be more familiar with cork for its properties, the most common of which is wine stoppers.
This is the reason it's not suitable for water internments but only for an earth internment or as a decorative piece.
The Adagio is soft to touch, this unique urn is for the person who enjoys a puzzle, a little challenge and something a little quirky. When the urn is filled with the ashes of such an individual it can sit on a mantel, shelf, coffee table or a bookcase as a conversation piece.
Its ultimate resting place is in the earth, in a special memorial spot in the garden.
Cork grows naturally and is an impermeable buoyant material, meaning that it will float and not break down in water. There are only a few of these urns left in the world and we have them!
